Assesment methods and criteria:

Assessment is based on exercises integrated into each lesson. At the end of the course, to assess students’ understanding of the lessons, students must take a final exam covering all three chapters.

Prior basic knowledge of math (High school mathematics):

  • Familiarity with elementary symbolic algebra
  • Familiarity with number systems, for instance: the characteristics of natural numbers, integers, real numbers, and rational numbers.
  • Prior general knowledge about Inequalities and intervals

The grading is defined as follows:

  • 5 (Excellent)
  • 4 (Good)
  • 3 (Satisfactory)
  • 2 (Passable)
  • 1 (Fail)
  • 0 (Not graded)
