To make the game development process as smooth as possible, the producer must work hard throughout all the production phases from planning to launch and communicate with all team members while planning each step forward.
Communication: The producer needs to be able to communicate with the team members in order to get everyone on the same page. External communications must also be handled so the team can focus on game making.
Scheduling: The producer must plan ahead and estimate how long each phase will take and which tasks need to be prioritized.
Problem Solving: Be it the game completely breaking or the office toilet not functioning, it is the producer's responsibility to come up with solutions and implement them.
